Conservation Work
Hi everyone! I'm excited to share my passion for environment conservation, particular about the ocean, and education.
Our planet's precious species, from ocean depths to land, need our protection. Injustices occur daily, affecting not just the environment, but also small towns and economies.
Through past experiences, I've learned how to organize impactful marine conservation and education events as well as working in the marine lab. My goal is to learn by gaining experience and self-pursued research/reading.
I'm grateful to be part of Dr. La Valle's Marine Research group, where I learn from and shadow upperclassmen on their projects. This experience has broadened my knowledge of the field in ways I never thought possible.
Stay tuned for updates on upcoming events, guest speakers, and positive impacts. Thanks for joining me on this journey!

1st Pepperdine Energy Forum - November 2024
On November 14th, 15th, and 22nd, Pepperdine hosted an energy forum in the Romandy region of Switzerland, specifically in the Vaud canton. The event featured presentations in French, with a few speakers presenting in English and German.
The sessions commenced with local energy companies showcasing their initiatives to cantonal representatives. A highlight was the appearance of a mayor from a 100% sustainable town in Germany, who shared valuable insights on renewable practices.
Numerous companies emphasized their commitment to solar and wind energy, thermal solutions, wood briquettes, and hydronic heating systems. My proficiency in French has improved, and while I translated a few terms, I grasped most of the content through context and prior knowledge.
Overall, this forum was enlightening, helping me understand the ambitious measures Switzerland is implementing to achieve carbon neutrality or even negative emissions by 2030.
